Uranium Glass Vase Art Deco c.1930

Uranium Glass as the name suggests is made up of Uranium usually in oxide form, added to a glass mix before melting for colouration. The proportion usually varies from trace levels to about 2% uranium by weight, although some 20th-century pieces were made with up to 25% uranium.

This vase is typical of the Art Deco period of the 1920's and stands proud at 20cm high. When a Fluro light is applied to the glass it glows an iridescent green colour, depicting the Uranium.   No chips or cracks and international shipping available.
