Australian Pates Pottery Drip Glaze Fluted Vase c.1950s

A striking mid‑century Australian drip‑glaze vase featuring a deeply fluted, petal‑inspired body rising from a stepped square pedestal base. The glossy glaze flows from soft lavender and blush pink at the rim to creamy white and deeper mauve pooling at the base.

Attributed to Pates Potteries, Sydney, circa 1950–1960, this piece reflects the era’s fascination with pastel drip glazes and sculptural floral forms.
