This striking Royal Doulton Angwyn Ware vase, designed by Sir Frank Brangwyn, showcases his signature bold floral motifs in vivid blues, greens, and warm ochres. Hand-painted over a textured ground, the swirling foliage and stylised blooms evoke the Art Nouveau spirit with interwar vibrancy.
Produced in England circa 1935–1940, this piece bears the Royal Doulton lion-over-crown backstamp, pattern number D.5081, and the Angwyn Ware designation. Brangwyn’s designs for Doulton were produced in limited numbers, making surviving examples highly sought after by collectors of decorative arts and British studio pottery.
Standing as both a functional vessel and a work of art, this vase offers exceptional display presence sitting at 30cm high and 12cm wide. Its painterly surface, rich colour palette, and celebrated designer pedigree make it a statement piece for interiors, while its historical significance ensures enduring value in any curated collection.
